Many often-used roads such as Broadway Road and University Drive keep the same name through multiple cities. Others do not, which can lead to confused drivers. For example, Mesa’s Main Street becomes Apache Road in Tempe, and Tempe’s Rural Road becomes Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale.

Gated communities seem to encourage outside activity. Perhaps it’s because residents feel safer walking their dog, riding a bicycle, or enjoying an evening stroll where traffic is restricted. Or, it could be due to friendships that develop as residents enjoy the community pool and other recreational pursuits.
